Class Description:
Our technology class is a well-planned learning agenda that prepares students to become contributing citizens capable of making astute decisions in their personal lives and as a group. To foster discovery learning, group activities, online collaboration and educational game simulations, will be explore this school year. In order to foster students' ability to think critically, this course emphasizes an integrated, project/problem based approach that provides opportunities for hands- on activities, as well as effective use of technology to maximize the learning.
Learning
Students will have the opportunity to deal with real life situations, Internet and online Safety, develop leadership skills, project management and teamwork. Hands on projects and online simulations will develop their math skills, critical skills, technology knowledge of Microsoft office tools, and online tools. The curriculum, which was developed based on the Massachusetts Technology Literacy Standards will develop future leaders as well as proactive critical thinkers.
Teaching Methodology
The teaching methodology used in this program has a Project/ Problem- Based Structure, and foster discovery learning, student-centered, with the lecturer acting as facilitator, and the ultimate goal of teaching to make the students independent, lifelong learners.
